So, I'm on my phone posting this since Kinja won't let me log back in to my own account through my computer. It states I need a burner account. Can I log back into my account or am I screwed?

Contact the guys/gals at helpbox@kinja.com and they'll help you mate.

Great! Thank you! I will do it. The thing is I'm connected through Facebook and they no longer offer that option.

They don't? Ruh-Roh.. does that mean they'll drop Twitter as well you think? If so I'm in deep shit.

They dropped Twitter, too. And I think tumblr or reddit... whatever was there.

What? Seriously? That's weird. It didn't appear at all for me one day. That's when I accidentally created two accounts.

I don't know if you've got a google account, but you can connect with that as well.

Kinja must have Kinja'd again that day because I just checked and all of the links were still there. Weird. Also, I had a computer memory dump so bad to the point that my solid state needs to be reformatted.

Well, no cache means no kinja work. So I guess that explains it.

Oh no.... does that mean my RAM could be malfunctioning? I had a hard drive brick on me and I had to completely reinstall Windows again only to have it take FOREVER to boot.

Nahnah.. Cache as in your browsers Cache, that's stored on a hard drive :) So if you had to restore your drive you may have lost some data (and some of the cache).

Probably. I'm doing the reformat tomorrow and I've never done one before. I'm guessing put in the Windows 8.1 CD I have into drive, restart the computer F12 into BIOS like crazy, switch the boot to start on CD Drive, and then restart it. I'm guessing it will read the CD and guide me through the proper steps from there. Does that sound right?

Sounds about right I'd say. I've mostly run Linux the last 12 years or so, so not much experience with Win 8, but you should be fine.

Well, sort of. I have a solid state drive meaning you need to secure erase it.... yay. Welp, I'm researching that now and I'll be on the phone with Samsung customer service all day tomorrow.

Well that sucks.

Yep. Big time. Unless I can do a refresh with absolutely nothing in the USB slots this time.
